Why use a Private Investigator when you have worries about the contact your child has with your ex-partner and why can’t Social Services always help you?
There are very good reasons why a Private Investigator can assist you in dealing with issues and/or worries you may have with your ex-partner during contact with your child or children; especially when you are involved with Social Services.
One crucial area where Social Services fall short is that they are unable to commit the time necessary to ensure that children are protected from the ‘other parent’ during contact time other than supervised contact at a designated place. If contact cannot be arranged by agreement between the parents, then the contact is generally ordered by the court and is usually very detailed. Areas such as where and when the contact takes place, who can and cannot have contact with the child, what restrictions are placed on where the child can go etc. all have to be adhered to and are in place to protect the child. You may have come to an agreement between yourselves over contact without the need to go to court.
Whatever the situation, the problem always arises when there is suspicion that this agreement is being broken. You may worry that your child may be having access to unsafe adults, exposed to alcohol/drug use, being taken to places that are forbidden etc. The list is endless. The point is that when you have worries about your child, what can you do about it? It would be almost impossible for you to set up any form of surveillance or checks yourself and Social Services simply do not have the personnel or time to do so. If you contact them they may undertake an unannounced visit but this is hit and miss and does not provide a clear picture over a period of time that will evidence unsafe behaviour. I can provide the necessary time and experience to ascertain that your child is safe or if there are issues of concern. I have a great deal of experience dealing with issues of contact and I know what to look for and ascertain if the child is at risk of harm. If there is evidence of any unsafe behaviour then this will be provided in the form of a detailed log and photo or video evidence if necessary.
I will post regular updates and case studies outlining my work as a Private Investigator in relation to child care issues. In the meantime, if you have any worries or concerns however small, do not hesitate to contact me for a no obligation chat to discuss your individual needs. As always, complete discretion is assured.
